I am they type of person who enjoys movies like X-Men, Fantastic 4, Ghost Rider, Spiderman (although I really hate the movies, they fit in the category). Even when the television show ‘Heroes’ was popular, I was a HUGE fan. I was planning on seeing another type of these movies when I saw ‘I Am Number Four.’ I was pleased to see that it had the elements that I loved in the Marvel movies with a nice twist of unexpected science fiction. It was just like the movies I love, but totally different at the same time. Overall I really liked this movie; the romance in the story is not awkward or too thick. It is totally opposite of ‘Twilight’ when it comes to the romance. The action and mystery was just perfect. I like my movies with a good mystery. Luckily I was not with my friend who always guesses the ending. That always kills me when he is right. The climax was good, but I didn’t want that to be it. I want to know more about the storyline! I hate cliff hanger endings, and this has left me craving more. I hope there will be another movie, because if not… i will go crazy. I have found myself strangely obsessed with this movie. I bought some of the music I liked from it, and when I get a chance I want to read the book. Hopefully there is another book, then I can get to the actual ending before another movie comes out. I don’t want to wonder what happens next, I do that every time I watch ‘Push.’
The storyline seemed believable, and I thank the actors for helping with this. Dianna Agron is the love interest, which she did a great job with this character. I even fell in love with her too, which can be hard to do after you star in ‘Glee’ but she won me back. The interaction between her and Alex Pettyfer’s character is the real way a high school romance plays out. Speaking of Alex Pettyfer, he plays the main character, so I won’t give things away; let’s just say he played his part well. Sadly, I could correlate with his character (in the high school department). I was the type of person who was not picked on too much, but I did try and stand up for the kids people made fun of. The main point is I have a great respect for him. He seems a little full of himself in most of his photographs; luckily I can look past that and respect him as an actor. He has become a role model for me, and because I gained a liking for him I am looking forward to seeing his performance in ‘Beastly.’
My recommendation to all you fans out there. Go see this movie. I am planning on seeing it again, and I am planning on buying the movie when it comes out on DVD. Here is the trailer so you all can have some sort of an idea of what it is about:
